i've been pining for my summer crush - he's overseas in a faraway land. we've upped the communicae by email. they've been a lovely substitution. he's not so much funny, as he's my kind of funny. sometimes obvious, sometimes not so obvious, sometimes he has to grab for something just so its relevant to the topic. its like a language only a precious few will ever understand.
i wanted to dedicate today's post to him but i couldn't find that RIGHT words. i started my blog reading for the day and click in my favorites bar for jake bronstein's blog . he wrote this, and i think its so delightful. it totally represents the heat between me and the bp clone.
Have you ever met someone who made your heart pound just thinking about them? Someone who’s lips captivate you? Someone you’re drawn to, even against your better judgment? Someone who makes you laugh harder, smile bigger and feel more alive than ever before? I have. That’s passion. It can’t be faked. And it’s rare.
Sadly, it goes both ways. Anyone who can truly make you happy can also make you truly sad. And sometimes, a passionate relationship isn’t actually a good relationship (I’m pretty sure Pammy and Tommy video taped this very phenomenon).
The thing is, you can’t fake that passion… either it’s there, or it’s not. It’s not going to grow out of thin air somewhere down the line. But if it’s there to begin with, when the time IS right, if you want to, you can can forge a good relationship. A passionate one. A sexy, fun, adventurous one.
i doubt me and the crush are truly there yet, its sexy, its fun, its adventurous but its scary what it COULD become if we both had the patience. his emails have showed this introspective, inquisitive carefree abandon with a stinging aftertaste that he sorta misses me, which means he's kinda vulnerable. its the most emotion i've experience from his end since we met shortly before summer began.
in my reply, i told him about the sunset on saturday, how the sun hid behind the clouds all day and in place of its hiding, cast a orangish-pink glow on the city. i dont know....
its been a year since we met and our relationship though not concrete--feels incredibly sound- for now i'm confident that he's there for me, he's into me and we both like each other immensely. the greatest indicator: international correspondence.
believe me people, it takes alot to write about someone you dont care about.
